Standing Against the Darkness

Standing Against the Darkness

You see it every day. The people you work with, interact with at the grocery store, church, or on the road. Empty. Discouraged. Defeated.

If you were to stop and ask them, they might tell you it’s something they are going through–a family issue, some financial concerns, cancer. But like you, they know it goes deeper than that. There’s something wrong with the world today.

Something that transcends everyday frustrations and life struggles. Something powerful. Something spiritual.

Something Spiritual is Happening

I listen to several people on YouTube talk about this very thing. The ominous shadow that seems to be expanding over the globe, infecting society with a general sense of dread that “something,” they don’t know what, is coming.

One Podcaster (who isn’t a follower of Jesus) said it made him feel like there’s something really “heavy” happening. Something “spiritual.” Like a “cloud” hanging over everyone.

Pastors talk about how we are entering the end times. YouTubers like MonkeyWerx who track military flights say we are edging toward WW3. Governments are failing, and more authoritarian measures are repressing societies. People are becoming angrier. More divisive. Politics in the US are a mess.

You May be the Only Light Others See

If you are like me, you often feel like the only light in a very dark place. I don’t say this because I have all the answers. I only have one answer that’s of true worth, and it was found when I discovered God. Ever since laying down my own motivations in search of His, I’ve found true purpose in life. A purpose that extends far beyond any struggle or pain I may go through. One that will get me through anything with a shred of hope left.

As I interact with people, and through my writing, I do my best to show them truth and hope whenever possible. It’s tough though, because it seems everyone is skeptical about your motivations. Are you trying to sell them something? Do you mean what you say? How do you know what truth is?

I Need to Hear your War Stories

This is your call to action. To join me in pulling people from the darkness and to show them the light. The light of hope in a dark world. The light only Jesus can provide.

I want to hear your stories! Like many of you, I get discouraged about what is happening around me. It should spur me on to write more, fight more, and dig deep for that hope within. But it’s not easy. Your stories will keep me moving forward.

Please send me your spiritual warfare stories. Let’s fight the darkness together!  Send to: lightfollower@troyhooker.com
