Writing Update May 2023

Tulips galore!
If you haven’t been to the Tulip Festival in Holland, Michigan, you might want to make the pilgrimage. Holland goes all out with its tulip displays, not to mention there are some other awesome sights to take in. Like a working windmill, wooden shoe parade, and plenty of food vendors. Of course, you will want to stop out at Holland State Park Beach if the weather is nice.

Stacy and I got a chance to get to the beach already this year since the weather was cooperating. We were so tired when we got out to the water that we fell asleep on the beach, listening to the waves roll in. It was marvelous.

Needless to say, we are gazing longingly at the bus, waiting for the day we can fire it up and get on the road. Ludington, Traverse City, Petoskey, Mackinaw City, Upper Peninsula, we are going! Mushroom hunting, late-night rock hunting on the shores of Lake Superior, and binging the Mandalorian with a bucket of popcorn when it’s pouring rain…

That’s only if the finances cooperate. Turns out that an inconsistent income doesn’t mean stability! But, God has provided so far.

I finally started on Book 3 of Demon Tide. I know what you are saying– “When are you actually going to publish these books?” Good question. They are slated for the end of the year. That is if Stacy can get her act together and put together a Kickstarter!

That reminds me. I’m pretty tired, and I have chapter two to write. This book is going to be a doozy, that’s for sure. With all that yammering, I’ll be signing off this evening!

Standing Against the Darkness

You see it every day. The people you work with, interact with at the grocery store, church, or on the road. Empty. Discouraged. Defeated.

If you were to stop and ask them, they might tell you it’s something they are going through–a family issue, some financial concerns, cancer. But like you, they know it goes deeper than that. There’s something wrong with the world today.

Never. Lose. Hope.

If you were like me, reading a book about Hell wasn’t the first on the TBR list. It might haven’t been ever on there, in fact, had I not forced myself to take a peek.
